August 19, 2008 |  6:00 pm

Gabriela Rodas, an 18-year-old Latina woman, was shot during a domestic dispute in the 2000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Boyle Heights about 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23.

Officers from the Hollenbeck Division responded to a report of a suicide at a home. When they arrived, they found Rodas with a gunshot wound to the head, authorities said. She was taken to L.A. County-USC Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Police detained the girl's Latino boyfriend, Moises Enrique Martinez, 24, for questioning. Hours later, he was booked on suspicion of murder, said Officer Karen Smith of the LAPD's media relations office. Police said that Martinez pulled out a gun during an argument with Rodas, and allegedly shot her in the back of the head.

Rodas was going to be 19-years-old in October. Family members are seeking donations for funeral services.

So much pain inside my hearth
Like if It was hit with millions of darts
The pain is so big I have inside
I feel like my soul wants to cry
But It knows todays not the time
Time to be strong and unite
Always be loved and never forgotten
From my hearth, Gustavo your brother

Gab y will be missed without a doubt! she was a verry carring and toughtfull young woman, that at her short lived life had many obsticles put in front of her and she always overcame them and smiled when it was trough.
