Joshua Rodriguez, 20, Latino man was fatally shot during a fight at Mulberry Drive and Ruoff Avenue in an unincorporated area of south Whittier about 1:49 p.m. Wednesday, July 23.

According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, the Rodriguez got into an argument with another man, who belonged to a rival tagging crew. They began fighting. The other man pulled out a handgun and fired several shots, hitting Rodriguez in the upper torso. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
