Soccoro Lopez, 29

Soccoro Lopez, 29, a Latino man, was fatally shot, police said, while sitting inside his parked car at 15316 Nordhoff Street in Panorama City about 2:40 a.m Sunday, June 8.

According to police, officers from LAPD's Mission Area responded to a death investigation call and found Lopez with gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.  Police said Kenneth Harris, 44, was arrested on suspicion of murder in Lopez's death. Authorities said robbery is believed to be the motive for the slaying.
