Edward Galvan, 23

Edward Galvan, 23, a Latino, was shot to death at 135 N. Vecino Drive. Paramedics pronounced Galvan dead at the scene.

According to the Covina Police Department, officers responded to a call of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found Galvan lying on the street with gunshot wounds. According to the L.A. County coroner, Galvan was shot in the head and torso. Residents reported several gunshots to police officers. Police said two light-colored small SUVs and a black Toyota Corolla were seen leaving the area. According to authorities, Galvan was a documented gang member, but they said the motive for the shooting was unknown.
