Roberto Perez, 25

Roberto Perez, 25, a Latino man, was shot and killed at 4080 S. Vermont Ave. near Exposition Park about 7:45 p.m. Friday, May 2.

According to Det. Frank Alvelais of the LAPD's South Bureau Homicide, Perez was on his way to the store on his bicycle when a vehicle pulled up to him. Alvelais said a suspect exited the car, approached Perez and shot him several times. Perez was declared dead at the scene, he said.  See dispatch above for more on Perez.
