Edgar Castellanos, 19
Edgar Castellanos, 19, a Latino man, was fatally shot in the 2300 block of Lake Shore Avenue in Echo Park about 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 9.
Police said the gunman walked up to Castellanos and shot him. He was found lying on the driveway of a home with two gunshot wounds to his head, according to Det. Pjai Morris of LAPD's Northeast Division. He said Castellanos was a documented gang member.

I just found out abut this Friday. I know edgar, when he was a young teenager. My heart is sad and my sympathy goes out to his family. Edgar you will be missed!!!!

yeah we want JUSTICE we want those people who took him to pay we want them to be in jail and pay for what they did there nobody to take someones life like this is mom is so sick why people do all this stuff they dont have fellings they dont care about the family EDGAR was a nice boy hard worker and he was going to school too they didnt had a right to take his life away they way they did it we want them in jail we want JUSTICE no matter how long it will take we want to see them in jail for life

Family and Friends are devastated and we just want the people who did this to pay for it. They need to be put in jail as soon as possible, those people who took him from his house May 9 2008 need to be put in jail until they confess who did it. They had no right to take somebody's life like that Edgar was a GREAT a PERSON and all this was nothing but a SET-UP and the people involve need to pay for it. We want JUSTICE!!! This cannot remain like this. Who are they to decide when tot ake somebody's life away?
