Jose Medina, 33, a Latino man, was shot to death in the 600 block of West Gladstone Street in Azusa on Saturday, May 10. Medina was declared dead at the scene, authorities said.

According to Deputy Luis Castro of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, Medina was walking eastbound on Gladstone when a suspect emerged from a parked car, pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The suspect shot Medina, as well as a second man at the scene, who is recovering at a hospital, Castro said.
