Terri Nadler, 61, a white woman, was shot to death inside her home at 200 S. Detroit St. in the Park La Brea area at about 11:23 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Officers with LAPD's Wilshire Division responded to reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of Terri and her husband, Bruce Nadler, 61. Paramedics declared the couple dead at the scene. The shooting is being investigated as an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said. More to come.

This is such an unfortunate incident. I'm actually one of their neighbors. They seemed like such a normal couple. I have heard that it was possibly a murder/suicide, not a double homicide.

I live on the same block. They used to walk their dog in the neighborhood. Neighbors have said they heard the woman yelling for help before the gunshots.

It is unfortunate. Everybody around here is nice, working people who are paceful. It seems that the Detroit area is passing through a very bad season. First the building fire, now this.

Does anyone know what happened to their retired racing greyhound? We have rescue groups from New York to Tracy CA looking for her!

Hey Marcia M. I think the greyhound might be in CA because for the past month, I would see a man walking a greyhound around the neighborhood. I didn't know Bruce Nadler was that man. It was strange because during this past month, he would walk his dog around frequently....or so it seemed. Every time I would leave/come home from work, school, etc. I would see him walking that dog.

I was a Assistant DA in suffolk in 2005 when his life took a turn for the worst.
This man was severely depressed. It all started with the loss of his medical license. He prescribed a Suffolk county cop named Eric Johnson sterioids. After this officer failed his drug test he provided a prescription from this Doctor. The DA went after him. DA Thomas Spota puilled his contacts and ended Nadlers career. And int he end, his life.
What a sad story. The DA should be feel responsible.

The greyhound has gone to a good home - someone who knew the dog well and wanted to help.

Fran: I'm happy to hear the dog is safe. Could you please have the people who have them contact Amazing Greys at: 209-835-9780? The greyhound adoption community has been working frantically to be assured this dog is safe and sound. We have people going to be in the area looking for her Sunday...Everyone is a volunteer who truely love greyhounds and work diligently for their welfare! Once a dog has been placed thru an adoption agency, they need to stay in contact with the dog. PLEASE have them contact one of us ASAP!

I knew Dr Nadler and his wife Terri for over a decade. He purchased a number of explorers from me. His wife was pretty and always such a doll. Dr Nadler had some financial difficultires while I knew him but he turned them around and seemed to be doing fine. I did not know he lost his license and my wife called me today and told me that he killed Terri and himself. Terri had children from her first marriage and I wish them peace in what must be a massive loss. I feel so sorry for the family and I wish someone had taken action to help Dr. Nadler before it went this far.

My wife had surgery from him about 6 yrs ago and his wife worked in his office. They were both very nice to us and very attentive. He did an excellent job on her. This is very sad story.
