Rafael Rodriguez, a 34-year-old man, was stabbed during a fight at 8722 Fontana St. in Downey on Thursday, Feb. 14. He was taken to Downey Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead the following day at 5:20 a.m. According to authorities, officers from the Downey Police Department responded to a report of a patient with stab wounds at the hospital. Officers then learned that the patient, Rodriguez, had been stabbed multiple times during a fight. Shortly after midnight, Feb. 16, homicide detectives arrested two Latino brothers: Brian Olguin, 31, and Jon Olguin, 33, on suspicion of murder. It was unclear what the men were fighting about, said police assistant Alicia Perez.

Ralphy was a character, a good, hard working guy, who knew a little something about everything and was always willing to lend you a helping hand, and stood up for his freinds closest to him. His memory will live on thru all who knew him. I'll see you when I get there homie. Sombra

RALPH WAS A LOYAL FRIEND. HE WAS MY EX-HUSBANDS UNCLE AND HE WAS ALWAYS THEIR WHEN I NEEDED HIM.HE WAS A VERY CALM PERSON WHO DIDNT BOTHER A SOUL, NUT WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO DEFEND AND PROTECT THOSE HE LOVED. HE WILL BE TRUELY MISSED . M.C.F. FOR LIFE.
