Gangs are created by a lack of fathers. Without fathers, gangs form. It's that simple. Men need to feel like they belong to a family run by men. If they don't get that nurturing, they turn to other communities to get that feeling, even if those communities as psychopathic, sociopathic perverted distortions of what real families should be.
The solution to all of this is shaming men who refuse to be a father when they have refused to be personally responsible.
Right now, many impoverished inner city men take pride in the number of children they have had out of wedlock. When they should be treated with nothing but shame for their actions.
