On Nov. 2004 county officials voted 4-0 to closing the trauma center at Drew King medical center; which treated 2,150 patients with critical wounds (in the previous year 2003). The public feared it would require victims of gunshots and car accidents to go farther for trauma care. The nearest trauma center to the South Central LA is now 20 to 25 min away "Harbor UCLA Medical center." In the 80's, 90's and 2000's Drew king was used as a training facility for doctors in the military because it was so close to combat casualties’ situations. Over the past three years thousands of human lives have been lost due to lack of federal and state funding that kept Drew King TC available. By closing Drew King TC bureaucrats have take it upon themselves to “control” the minority population in order to “correct” the gang problem in Los Angeles. But the truth is that the gang problem does not have a simple solution. We buried our friend last weekend because the doctors couldn’t keep him alive.., the ambulance took long to get there, the trip to Carson was 20 min, and the closed! Drew King TC was just 8 min away from were he was shot! Our hearts are shattered, our days are gloomy but we will see our friend again. You will never be forgotten.., we miss you Juan.., god be with you.

i just want to tell coco's family to stay strong..i use to work at loftens (the liquor store) and thats i came to know coco,he was the sweetest and had a smile i would never forget...i cant believe out of all people coco. u will be missed but never forgotten.......

COCO YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBER! IS SAD TO SAY GOOD BYE.YOU WERE A VERY FUN PERSON TO BE AROUND WITH.I PRAY TO THE LORD TO FUFILLED YOUR FAMILY'S HEART BECAUSE THEY MISS YOU SOOO MUCH.GOD BLESS YOU

My brother I will Love You for always. I will think of you day and night. I will remember you through your daughters. I just want you to know that whoever did this to you, thinks he got away. But he did not. No one leaves this earth without paying our dues. And one day he will feel what we are feeling whether through himself or his kids, if not his mother will feel what our mother feels through him. But remember KHARMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
