Today we will remember Alvaro Calderon as a good man with laughter and joy in his heart we will miss him very much he was a part of the home depot family will miss you Al.

We will always remember you as a genours, loving ,kind person. our prayers are with you and to your family and son. you will never be forgotten and will always have a special place in our heart.

My dear cousin Alvaro was never related or affiliated with gangs..his death was unjust..undeserved. His efforts in life were to understand the word of God and be a good father to his 2-year old son. My family and I will miss him, words cannot express what a caring and wonderful individual he was. He had a huge heart and had the gift of making people smile. He is loved tremendously by us all. Alvaro was a son of God and he will be in our hearts forever - We love you Alvaro and miss you so much

My dearest cousin Alvaro, you will be missed here at your home where you will always call it. You will always be in our special hearts with full of memories. We miss you.

My Cousin was killed by a Coward. My Cousin and Friend was not involved in Gangs!!! He was a family Man with a big appreciation for the teachings of Jesus Christ. He was going through some hard times due to a recent divorce. His memories will never be forgotten. I will miss him greatly. I know the Los Angeles Police department will do what they can in order to bring the Cowards responsible for doing this to our family and more importantly his two year old Son. The Calderon, Figueroa, and Liquidano Family’s will have Justice!!!

ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN THE FEELING THAT YOU GET WHEN YOU HEAR THAT SOMEONE VERY MUCH CLOSE TO YOU HAS BEEN MURDERED.WORDS CANT EXPLAIN THIS FEELING.THIS I COULD SAY IS THAT ALAVARO WAS A GREAT MAN WITH ALOT OF POSITIVITY IN HIM. HE WAS A MAN OF GOD AND GOD DECIDED TO TAKE HIM HOME..HERE ON EARTH YOUR GONE MIJO BUT IN MY HEART YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ALIVE.. I LOVEYOU..ALVARO WAS NOT GANG AFFILIATED AT ALL AND THAT WE ALL COULD SAY...

To Alvaros family I send my deepest regards. Alvaro was a wonder man. He was always one to bring joy to a group and laughter to his friends. I still cannot believe this has happened. I will ALWAYS remember his caring ways. Alvaro I can't believe you're gone. I will always miss you!!!!! :o(

Big Al is how we came to know him on the sales floor, yet I knew only a guy that was responsible and extremely hard working. I met Al at the Hollywood Home Depot during the summer of 2006 were we both worked in the appliance section but that changed shortly this guy had so much positive energy that he was promoted quickly above many that were there for much longer. He had what it took to get things done and done quickly. During some down time we often spoke and debated about Biblical Scripture. This guy knew his scripture and though I was older than him it was good to know that this young hardworking father had Christ in his heart. I was fortunate enough to hear about his family dynamics and how much he felt blessed having his first babyand spoke of happy days well spent with his baby. The one thing I would always bug him about was his smoking habit. But that was his sophisticated side you couldn't get him to stop but his heart and soul burned stronger than all the ciggs he lit-up in his short stay on the earth. If he were to comment about what had occurred to him he probably say to us "come on guys let's get moving on" We have a lot to get done!"
May you rest in peace Mr. Al Calderon but knowing your hard working Christian spirit it's already hard at work next to Our Lord Jesus Christ ! God Bless You and Those you leave behind. See you again one day in that huge home depot in the sky
I am glad to have known you Al and yes I will remember to keep it positive.

Sincerely a home depot associate.

my god i couldnt believe when they told me this happened,my heart goes out to the calderon family. i pray they catch the bastards that did this ,its not right he was a good person who didnt deserve to die in that manner. ill never forget you my friend.....

I burried my brother yesterday, and I havent had a chance to read these comments. I want to say thank you to everyone who has sent their prayers and sympathy. I've heard so many good things from his friends and family. Those who got to know him knew that he was not affiliated with any gang. In fact quite the opposite, I praise God not only for my salvation through Jesus Christ, but also for the salvation of my brother and his love for our lord and savior. My brother is in
GLORY!!!! I pray for justice and to those who knew him, keep up the good fight, hold your head up high, for its what we do in Jesus name that will never die!! I believe that through this tragedy the power of God will move in your life. Remember that they can kill the man but Alvaro Eli Calderon's spirit lives on.

My uncle was Alvaro, he was the best uncle ever. He would make you laugh all the time. When he passed away, it was a shock to every one!! He left a wife and a baby boy named Elijah. When we see Elijah we all see Alvaro. My uncle Alvaro is a son of God, he will always be in our hearts!!-We miss you Uncle Alvaro!! I know you are looking after Eli!!

my uncle alvaro was just about the best uncle you could come upon. if you ever needed a good laugh all you had to do was knock on his door. he wasn't really like just another uncle to me he was more like my bestest friend. and i know that sounds kind of lame and all having your uncle being your best friend. but then that means you have'nt met alvaro. and i feel sorry for those who did not have a chance to meet him because he was a great man. he was super creative and always handy with his hands.alvaro not only left a wife and son. he left a hole in my heart. filled full of sorrow and remorse. a hole that will never be mended unless a miracle happens. he comes back. but i am left with only memories. and those memories will live on. i will never let go of them. if i have to i will tie them to my heart like a balloon. it pains me to look back at these memories because the more and more i do the more and more i miss him. it also upsets me that such a wonderful man had to leave this earth. he was to do beatiful things in this world. as for his killers well thats another story. i dont know what kind of crack they where on to have the mind to kill him. death is a horrible thing and then its wonderful at the same time because you get to go up to the heavens and sitt aside god the creator of existence. but lets not mourn over his death. we should be happy. he is in a better place out to do even greater things. to walk alongside god. he is our guardian angel. and he is watching over us. he may not be here physically but his legend will live on forever and ever. alvaro you are the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for. i hope someday i will get to be as great as you are. i'll see you someday up there in that big home depot in the sky.

Babe i just want to say the i miss u so much and a need u a lot , i find my self looking for u every where and i always find something that remind of u i see u in the sky ii hear your voice with the waves i smell u when i wear ur favorite perfume , and with every flore eli picks up aflower for me it u saying how much u love me too ,i feel u closer when i hold our baby , i see your face so inocent every night when i kiss elijah good night , i would do anything to have u back and repair all the wounds in your heart ,i promise i make up with being the best mom ever teaching ely to love of God and his priciples like u wouldve done it. love u for ever gordo!
