Ikime Sims, 20, a black man, was shot in the face at the intersection of Orcutt Avenue and 58th Way in Long Beach at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20. Sims was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m. Anyone with information can call Det. David Rios at (562) 570-7244.
He was not shot in the face, but in the lower body.
