Florentino Ross-Rivera, a 16-year-old Latino youth, was shot in the 1500 block of Cedar Avenue in Long Beach around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6. A citizen flagged down a Long Beach patrol officer, who found Ross-Rivera on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. He was taken by the Long Beach Fire Department to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:50 p.m.
I heard about this and i didnt know valentino. But I pass through where the insaldent happened on my way to school everyday. I think it's sad how his life was taken, especially how it happened across the street from where my brothers life was taken. It's sad how People seem to think it's alright to kill others. Seeking revenge or not, it's always the innocent that are lost from this world, not the guilty. But than again, when you think of it, those that are innocent are guilty, and those that are guilty are innocent to those closest to them....
