I am a 59 year old man that lives in a small town in South Texas. I read this blog weekly and some of the stories just tear at my heart. The blog personalizes the violent society that we live in. It puts a face on an ugly spectacle. When you see these stories on TV or even in the paper, they dont really register. When you read this blog you can't help but be shocked, scared, angry, all of the emotions come out with these stories. Have we lost all control, is there no way to stop this senseless violence?

How many of these men, woman, and in some cases children, would still be alive if the US had stronger gun laws?...Or is Charlton Heston and the NRA still in charge over there?...The US want's to be the sherrif of the world but can't clean up your own backyard!!!

My suggestion is to find the cities that have the equipment that is up to date and inquire how to get help and how they did it. It would be wonderful if there was a data base for the police to raise funds and get support. This seems as important as a data base for the criminals. I hope this could be discussed and maybe someone else could come up with other ideas. It's a team effort with this world getting smaller and the problems getting bigger...time for a group think.
