Clearance month

November is clearance month on the Homicide Report. Readers will find fewer posts than usual as HR works to determine how many of the 2007 Los Angeles County homicide cases have been solved and which have not.

A case is considered ‘cleared’ if a suspect has been arrested and charged, or if charges have been filed and an arrest warrant approved.

Clearance updates will be added to homicide posts on the site as the information comes in. Check the archives for arrest information on previous homicides. There are too many cases to update all of them, but HR will attempt to revisit as many as possible. (Photo by Geraldine Wilkins/LAT 2004)
