To unbelievable (previous blogger), you say no offence to other races when you comment that black men are targeted the most. What you fail to mention is that it's other black men who are targeting them! In England there is a special police force who just investigate black on black crime because it is so prevalent. You are killing each other.

BALDWIN PARK - Three known gang members were in custody Thursday night in connection with the fatal shootings of a Baldwin Park High School student and his father last month, officials said.
A fourth suspect - Omar Mendez - was still at large in the slaying of Pedro "Pepe" Estrada, 40, and his son, Luis Estrada, 14.
All of the suspects - who have been charged with murder with a special gang allegation - are 17 and from Baldwin Park, said Michael Rodriguez, a sergeant with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

This is a very sad story. As the father of 16 and 14 year old boys I can only imagine what my response would have been if it were one of my sons attacked by gun wielding cowards.
Jose Luis is a hero.
I blogged on this story http://firefighterblog.blogspot.com/ .
The intent of my post was to highlight the lack of attention given these tragic incidents vs the overwhelming attention given extremely wealthy folks affected by wildfires just up the road a bit.
It's time the State start directing attention to this violence.
If it means a cop or National Guardsman on every corner then so be it.

To the family of Jose and Pedro: I am deeply sorry for your loss - it is a tragedy. The Bible foretold that in the last days men would be fierce, without love of goodness, without self control (2 Timothy 3:1-5). The Scriptures also promise a resurrection to life on Earth for our dead loved ones. Daniel 12:2: And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life. How long will this last and what will they do? Psalms 37:29: The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it. Psalms 37:11: The meek ones will posses the earth, And they will find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. May you please find comfort in these promises.

I hate this world we live in this is unbelieveable. This man was a true hero for trying to catch those animals who did this to his baby boy. These thugs today. They treat lives as if they are MEANINGLESS. I don't understand how one can kill so freely. Its bad enough they killed the baby but to turn around and kill his FATHER? No remorse what so EVER. This here is a heartbreaker. I can't imagine what the family of these two men are going through. Double the loss double the pain. POOR PEOPLE. I hate what this world has come to. And sadly I know it'll only get worse before it gets better. God bless us ALL.
Rest in peace Pedro Estrada. I hate seeing another baby die to street violence. So young and so innocent.
Jose Luis Estrada I admire you for your heroic actions. It might not be big to some but it means a lot in my eyes. The world needs more parents like you. Rest in peace

I cannot believe this man. I honestly hate this world. If gang members only messed with other gang members then so be it I'd be fine with it but why must they touch the innocent? Jose Luis Estrada is a true hero in my eyes. That's something only a real parent would do. May God bless his soul. As for his son I feel bad for him he was so so young. I just can't imagine my 14y/o cousin being killed. The poor baby bless his heart. I won't rant about how I wish someone would step up or this or that. Ill just repeat what I said before. I HATE THIS WORLD. When will there be peace? When will a black man be able to stand outside without getting "banged on" shot at or killed? No offense to any other race but we aaaallll know that black men are the most targeted. I constantly worry about my boyfriends safety and my male cousins safety. I am thankful that God is on there side and he is keeping them out of harms way.
To the family of these two men you are in my prayers. To the mother- I want you to be proud of his father. He really tried to catch those animals. As for your son I pray that your days won't be so hard. I know this is a double loss. Double the pain but BE STRONG
