Walter Hernandez, 23

Hernandez_walter_2Walter Hernandez, 23, a Latino man, was shot multiple times at 5:20 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10. The shooting happened  at 1540 E. 42nd St. in LAPD's Newton Division, just south of downtown L.A. His time of death was listed as 6:15 p.m. at County-USC hospital.

It was broad daylight, in a crowded neighborhood. The suspects drove up; one got out and chased Hernandez down. See "High Stakes."  Newton homicide is at (323)846-6556.
