Victor Romero, 31, a Latino man, was walking a bicycle near the intersection of Crown Hill and Loma near Belmont High School at about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22. A suspect got out of a silver or grey Jeep Cherokee and fired once, then got back in and fired again. Romero's time of death was listed as 12:48 p.m.
Romero was related to an employee at Belmont High, Faustino said. Police said they believe the gang involvement of his younger years was behind him. He may have been beyond it, but was still a convenient target to the killers.

Why is it that society does not help these youngsters when they are trying to change. Why is it that the Law knows about all the violent crimes going on in our neighborhood and no one helps us. The community is screaming for help and it seems no one cares, perfect example not even a mile away from Victor's crime an innocent baby was killed by a gun shot in a cross fire that was also gang related again. What is the society saying to this; he was an innocent victim to all this. We just need help in the community to try to prevent anymore deaths.

Sad... And Life Changing For Mine & his Daughters Life... Thanks To Those Assholes That Took My Daughters dads life, Her life will never be the same & neither will mine... He was the greatest father a child could have despite the lifelong mistake he made getting into a gang as our daughter was on her way into this world... He Loved His Daughter With All HIS HEART & Soul, & As Far As I Can Say The Same For Me To...He Was At One Time An Active Gang Member, Everyone makes mistakes... But That Doesnt mean everyone should go from from this world with such a CHEAPSHOT as My Dearest Daughters Father Did... StoneCOLD From Behind, He was around the corner from home on his way to soon meet with our daughter...
