Maurice Johnson, 38, a black man, was shot in the torso, arm and leg near the intersection of 61st Street and San Pedro in LAPD's Newton Division and died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26. He was riding his bicycle to the store, and drive-by shooters pulled up, said Newton Det. Richard Arciniega. The suspects were described as Latino.
