She was NOT homeless, she was a NURSE carrying HER FIRST SON. She met a horrible person who did not want his wife to find out that her child was not his only one and that Joann was pregnant. Typical man trying to cover his dirt, but it cost a good young woman her life and the families a lot of grief. Get it right people.

I live in a different state and realized this was the person from my childhood. Joanne was raised by wonderful family. I am saddened by her death. God bless your soul JoJo.

i have known scott for 5 or so years, this does not sound like something he would do, nor something that he would be capable of to begin with. i know they say blood is thicker than water, and scott is one of those who were always about family.

I knew him and I worked with him during the Homeless Shelter; i also remember the victim... I just can't believe it! I am out the military now. I think being in the military promotes violence; KILL KILL KILL is what we say in Basic Training. Scott was extremely wrong in what he did. If you see him, you would never think this man can do something like that. eg. He looks nerdy! But killing a woman just because she's pregnant and you're married; The culver city police did a GREAT job.

I know you guys do your best to report accurate information......But, Joanne was not HomeLess! I hate reading the incorrect information. It makes it seems as if she was a deranged lunatic who ttacked some random white boy for no reason. If possible could you please change that incorrect piece of information

Uhhhhh...excuse me, but "typical" men to do not murder.

If Ms. Harris was not homeless then why would "her closes friends'(as stated in court) say that she was staying in some run down motel which is known to be a place that pan handlers stay. Just a few other things regarding this is the time of death is wrong and her body was not just "found" in the armory lets do some reporting and get the facts straight. One last thing and this ones for SGT. N. SHUMATE, with the things you said the military is better off without you. My guess is that you leaving the military wasn't your choice. You portray the military in such a bad light that you chouldn't even use the SGT. in front of your name. Well unless you are retired I guess you aren't SGT. N. SHUMATE rather N. SHUMATE. Dont act like your Mr. Military and say such things. Im ashamed to even call you a fellow veteran.
