Missed Case: Lincoln Heights

Lincoln Heights: Rosa Cruz, 53, a Latina woman, was stabbed multiple times in the chest while she was on her way home. The attack happened at 303 S. Ave. 20 in LAPD's Hollenbeck Division around 10:30 p.m., Sunday, July 22.  She staggered down the street, and collapsed near Albion Street, within about 150 yards of her home, said LAPD Det. Scott Smith. She was taken to a hospital, where she died. The case is being investigated as a possible domestic homicide, although other circumstances have not been ruled out. Cruz was a local tamale vendor.
