Jesus Guevara, 24
Jesus Guevara, 24, a Latino man, was shot in LAPD's Hollenbeck Division while walking out of a liquor store. He had just cashed a check, but the suspects didn't rob him. They just drove up in a black vehicle, yelled something, and shot him. He had no documented gang membership, police said. Time of death: 6:04 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.

I don't know, I knew him while he was stationed at NASL. He was in the Navy. I remember him saying something about growing up in Boyle Heights or something. He also said that he went to a school where some gang (Hazards) or something went around beating kids up. I dont know if that helps. Did you know Jesus?

J.R you will be missed. Man I still don't want to believe it's you. It seemed like if it was just yersterday you were here. The tought of not ever seeing you again homie makes me sad, but the only thing makes feel better is all the good memories I have of you. The "Back Yard League" and all the other good times.
