Donyah Giles, 23, a black man, was shot multiple times at 11400 South Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles --west of the Harbor Freeway at Imperial -- at about 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28. He died at 1:38 p.m.
A man ran up to him on the street and shot him several times in the torso. Giles fell on the sidewalk and later died at a hospital. The suspect ran away across Vermont.
