Ashley Lunsford, 19

Lunsford_ashleyAshley Lunsford, 19, a young black woman, suffered multiple gunshot wounds at the intersection of Mills and Kingsley avenues in Pomona in a shooting incident that also killed 19-year-old Shannon Fortune, below. Lunsford's time of death was listed as 11:34 p.m. Monday, June 18.

Pomona officers called to the scene of a reported fight received reports of gunshots as they sped to the scene. When they got there, they found both victims on the sidewalk, dead at the scene.

Ashley was my couzin and i will miss her dearly. we love her and wish that she was alive 2 take care of her baby amaia.21

i knew Ashley really well she was in two of my classes i remeber when she was pregnant she was glowing and vibrant.she always lighted up the room.with her smile.i seen her a month before her murder i didnt think that i would never see her again, she would selfishly help anyone who was in trouble, i know because she helped me 2 times and i would never forget her smile and her voice matter of fact it plays on and on whenever i go to sleep i can see her smiling and rubbing her belly. i will never forget her beacause their will never be another person like her. we miss you ashley watch over your Myah she needs you.

The man was not unidentified he is my cousin, 19 year old Shannon Lamar Fortune!! A happy, lovebale, caring and loving young man who was taken from his family way too soon. I love you Shannon. Watch over us from heaven!!!
