Miguel Sanchez, 20
Miguel Sanchez, 20, a Latino young man, was killed in a double homicide with his brother Francisco at 6308 Eastern Ave. in Bell Gardens. He died at 2:24 p.m. Sunday, May 20.
The brothers were part of a group in a car. One was the driver. A suspect walked up on foot and pointed a gun at one of the passengers. The brother who was driving flung the car into reverse and tried to escape, but gunfire filled the car, and both brothers were hit. Both were transported for medical care. Francisco died at 10:45 a.m. May 20, and Miguel's death came several hours later.
(Homicide Report's translation of the Sanchez family's comment post below: "The Sanchez family has scant resources, and asks your cooperation to cover funeral expenses since two people in our family have passed away at the same time. We are grateful in advance for whatever help you might give us in this time. Many thanks. Regarding whatever donation that you can give, please let us know by calling (562) 862-1903. Ask for Patricia Sanchez.")
It's been more than a year and no justice has been serve for the death of my son father and his uncle, is a shame that as a latino person we never get no answer what person did this awful crime, two brother die what so hard of giving us some answers we always going to wait for those answer we will never forget because this tragedy it will always be with us until this person pays for what he did. Now my son looks for a daddy that left and will never come back to be here for his birthdays & celebrations, now we have to go visit him in a grave yard, trying to explain to my son why are we here...we love & miss you so much..

To Sanchez family, my prayers go out to you twice. I hope that god will comfort you greatly. I'm a black man that really feel your pain as well, for pain has no color. I was very touched to read what happened to these to young brothers (Your Family), and by reading how loved they were, makes it just that much sadder. Once again God be with you in your sorrow to comfort you. I Love you my Brown brothers and sisters. I pray that you get the justice your family deserve. How can i even start by saying i had the wonderfull oppurtunity to meet them & became good freinds with them & there brothers,I rememeber the good times we had & I'll always rememeber them & will never forget them,the thing that hurts so much is knowing i'll never see them again,I couldn;t believe when u told me Goofy ,i had to hear it from u,cause i couldn't accept it,my heart goes to the family,just know in ur hearts that there in a better place,were the ones left behind suffering here, I miss tehm already,anything U Gooofy,Mayito teh family need & i can help just let me know, R.I.P.
