On Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, The Times launched a new version of the Homicide Report. You have arrived at the old blog.

Readers can no longer post new comments on this site, but we encourage you to join the conversation on our new site. The updated Homicide Report features an interactive map and searchable database of the more than 2,600 homicides in L.A. County since January 2007, when Times' reporter Jill Leovy first started this blog with the goal of covering each one.

Comments prior to Jan. 26 will, at least for now, remain archived here, with links provided in the new database.

If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail homicidereport@latimes.com, and we will do our best to respond.

that was and still is my boy DREWLOKOTE. i miss him, my road dog , my cousin, my best freind, the only one i could really open p too. now it's different, i think ,feel and act different not having him by my side is like not having my heart to stay alive.......

Dear Daniel Rodriquez, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your son. This is a tragedy and 2 Timothy 3:1-5 foretold that men would be fierce and without love of goodness in the critial times of the last days (of this wicked system of things). The good news is the resurrection promise at John 5: 28, 29 (Jesus speaking): Do not marvel at this, because the time is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life. Psalms 37:29: The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will live forever upon it.

MY SON IS GONE IN REAL LIFE BUT HE'S HERE WITH ME IN SPIRIT @ ALL TIMES. I MISS HIM SO MUCH THAT MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME I KNOW I WILL SEE HIM SOON SOME DAY BUT GOD ONLY KNOWS WHEN..HE WAS MY LIFE AND THEY TOOK HIM AWAY FROM ME, BUT GOD IS SO GOOD THAT JUSTICES WILL GET DONE SOON..MOTHER OF ANDREW D RAMIREZ
