Jacob Walker, 15

Jacob Walker, a 15-year-old black male, was shot at 8572 Park St. in Bellflower and died at 7:25 Jan. 21.

Police allege that his 24-year-old brother brought him along on a burglary, breaking into a house to steal marijuana plants purportedy used for medical reasons. The burglary victim came across them in the backyard and fired shots as they fled, killing the boy. Prosecutors are weighing whether the shooting was self-defense.

A similar case took place up in Clearlake, CA. Look up the case of Christian Foster in Clearlake. He's accused of murder after his two friends were killed while fleeing from an aborted alleged burglary attempt....by a white man who shot them in the back. I am white, but I can see right through cases like this. If the kids were white the shooter would be in jail that night. Anyone who thinks otherwise is blind. Self defense would imply that the victims were attacking the shooter....if they were shot in the back, I dont see how that could be possible. Nobody should get a free pass at shooting people in the back.

Why has Jerry Cress never been charged with the murder of Jacob Walker? Is it not murder to shoot another person (unarmed) in the back. I understand that the autopsy report has been completed. I feel that to kill another person over a illegal drug is really sick....this is not the actions of a person with a terminal illness, more like the actions of a drug dealer. To allow this action to go unpunished is saying it is not illegal until after harvest. Does the right to smoke medical marijauana, give you the right to grow and unlimited supply.
