12 home decor sales for the Fourth of July weekend and beyond

It certainly feels like summer, but retailers are already thinking fall. With so many stores running sales this holiday weekend, we decided to present a roundup of home and garden discounts:

Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams L.A. Summer Tag Sale will feature 30% to 70% off floor samples and select furniture in stock, including sofas, lighting, tables, beds and ottomans. Special-order upholstery, tables and storage are 20% off. The sale runs through July 31.

Jackalope Pottery Independence Day sale features red, white and blue pottery reduced by 35%. Everything else at the North Hollywood store, perhaps best known for its large-scale garden containers, is at least 25% off. (Select items are up to 70% off.) West Elm is taking 20% off rugs, 15% off outdoor furniture and up to 70% off other select items. Take the outdoor umbrella and stand, shown above: The stand, regularly $69, is now $59, and the umbrella, regularly $129, is now $109. (888) 922-4119.

Crate & Barrel has a summer sale with up to 60% off select items. Discounts include colorful Marimekko bedding, outdoor furniture and accessories such as candles, dinnerware, beach towels, napkins and tablecloths. (800) 967-6696.

EasyTurf is selling leftover remnants, overstock and end-of-roll pieces of synthetic turf for as low as 89 cents per square foot. The parking lot sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. EasyTurf also will offer discounts on installation services. 2750 La Mirada Drive, Vista.

Modani Furniture is holding a sale through July 10 that includes candle holders that had been $240 and are now $39. A synthetic rattan outdoor storage box, regularly $990, is now $349. Plush microfiber pillows in red, blue, black and yellow, regularly $110, are now $15.

Wertz Brothers Antique Mart's 10th annual summer sale continues through July 11. Look for discounts up to 50% on old typewriters, vintage furniture and retro collectibles. 1607 Lincoln Blvd., Santa Monica. (310) 452-1800.

Design Public is offering 10% off nearly all inventory priced $99 and higher through Thursday. (Some designers are excluded.) Use coupon code AMERICA at checkout. Note: You have to set up an account (free) in order to use a coupon code.

IKEA is once again offering up to 20% off kitchens through Aug. 21. Spend at least $2,500 and you get 10% off. If your order includes two appliances, each $199 or higher, the savings on the total order rises to 15%. If the order includes three appliances -- say, a range, range hood and microwave oven -- the savings rise to 20%.

Modernica recently added several of its Case Study planters to its online clearance section, which includes pieces that were samples, discontinued colors or prop rentals.
