Outdoor kitchen gets its first dishwasher
Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet, a high-end outdoor kitchen equipment company, introduced what it says is the first dishwasher designed for outdoor kitchens.
The Kalamazoo outdoor dishwasher, which costs $4,990, is meant to further the push for true indoor-outdoor living.
“We want you to be able to use this as a primary kitchen,” said Russ Faulk, Kalamazoo’s vice president of product development.

The prices for some of these outdoor appliances seem ridiculously expensive to me, and are clearly a case of people having more money than they know what to do with. It would seem a lot more pragmatic to locate such fixtures below a rainproof structure outdoors, and use an indoor model of stainless steel dishwasher if you absolutely need this convenience outdoors. Myself, I'd rather use that money for more important things in a garden design than this...
