The Deal: The Container Store shelving sale

WhiteElfaCraftCloset_x

A closet can become Craft Central with this sewer's-delight design by Elfa, regularly $775.95, now $692.40 in conjunction with the Container Store's shelving sale.

8628 Freestanding, modular and wall-mounted shelving by brands such as Elfa, Ladoro and InterMetro are 25% off. That covers the epoxy-bonded steel shelves pictured above but not the drawers, so savings on that package total less than 25%. Still, the drawers are conveniently available in various lengths and widths, and the rolling cart is a nice bonus for the roaming crafter who likes to work and watch "Glee" at the same time.

The full 25% discount does apply to InterMetro's silver starter unit at right, regularly $147.92, now $110.94.

The sale runs through Oct. 17 online and in brick-and-mortar stores, including locations in Century City, Costa Mesa and Pasadena. Look for demonstrations and get expert tips on the weekends at 2 and 4 p.m.
