Snapshot from the Los Angeles Times’ archives: March 9, 1969
Would you really buy Gretchen, the 5-foot-4 inflatable doll, to, as the ad says, ‘dress up your office’?
Or to use as a ‘conversation piece’ for your clients?
Or to make burglars think there’s ‘somebody at home’?
Or as a toy for your daughter?
Hmmm.
Maybe.
But how would you rationalize the description of ‘human-like softness’ and the ‘please rush’ mailing option?
