The Deal: Furniture samples discounted up to 90% at Culver City clearance sale

High Profile Productions, a Culver City photographic studio and event space, is hosting a summer clearance sale Thursday through Sunday. Furniture, lighting and accessories -- the kind you see in shops on the high-end stretch of Beverly Boulevard -- will be reduced up to 90%, with pieces selling for $40 to $4,000. They are all showroom samples or, as the e-mail invitation says, have been ‘gently used for staging projects.’

Among the highlights: Sleek furniture designed by Stefano Joannides for Idea Space Design, an interiors firm that has been featured in Home stories about Keyshawn Johnson and Bret Easton Ellis.

Idea Space Design is liquidating inventory including beds, headboards and sofas from its now-defunct Robertson Boulevard store. The Ecco bar stools pictured above will be reduced from $650 to $145 each.

The upholstered Wing Back chair, right, has button tufting, nail-head trim and a 5-foot-tall back -- ideal for basketball players or folks with a heightened sense of themselves. Originally $3,500, it will sell for $1,150.
