London past meets L.A. present in the home of Anglophile artist Lisa Borgnes Giramonti, below. Her Los Feliz house reflects a genteel "country manor" style -- with a touch of Sex Pistols.

Borgnes_LisaYes, that bench in the dining room is made of horseshoes. And those aren't overstuffed bookcases, but wallpaper.

Other parts of the house have the same high-low mix. Witness the Vivienne Westwood Union Jack pillow in the living room, right, and the Pottery Barn runner and HomeGoods elephants ($19 apiece) on the upstairs balcony, below right.

You'll see it all in our 25-image photo gallery of the house and get the back story in Alexandria Abramian Mott's article.

You also can check out Borgnes Giramonti's embroidery artwork, which is on view at the Acme Gallery in Los Angeles through May 29.
