Danish architect Poul Christiansen’s hand-folded Le Klint 172B Pendant (1971) is like the George Nelson bubble lamp of Europe -- an iconic piece that gives a room instant ‘60s modern cachet.

But this Denmark-made pendant, shown above, has one advantage over Nelson’s design: it is constructed from a color-stabilized white plastic sheeting, which means it is completely washable and anti-static. (Ever tried to wash a dusty Nelson lamp? Not easy.)

Sure, IKEA sells Le Klint knock-offs for only $29.99, but this week presents a chance to get the real deal at 40% off. The sale at Lumens -- which includes free shipping -- ends Wednesday. The 172B Pendant lamp, above, comes in two sizes (13 inches and 17.5 inches in diameter) and is on sale for $282 or $314.55.

If 172B isn’t your speed, consider 397 or 161; Le Klint lamps come in all shapes and sizes, including floor lamps and sconces. And they’re all on sale here.
