We took some new photos of Goods in Santa Monica recently and have posted them below with the text of our original item from Dec. 23 on the store’s opening. Happy virtual browsing.

Ivana Suvak and Katherine Inglis envisioned opening a home store that would offer unique and affordable gifts from around the world for everyone. Their new such store, Goods, opened two weeks ago in Santa Monica with an accordion player and face-painter in attendance.

‘It’s a tiny store but it’s nice and lively,’ says Suvak, with a laugh. ‘We wanted to fill the store with stuff that we would like to buy ourselves.’

Suvak and Inglis obviously like to buy great stuff: boldly colored felt pillows from Kyrgyzstan, graphically striped plastic totes from Bolivia, succulent arrangements that look like art works, Turkish bath towels, beaded jewelry and one-of-a-kind clothing for baby and kids.

Goods, 1748 Ocean Park Blvd., Santa Monica. (310) 392-3922.

In the photo above, those Bolivian totes hang on the wall with colorful pillows in the foreground. At right: That’s Inglis in front and Suvak in back. For more photos of the goods at Goods, click to the jump.
