Three of the houses on Sunday’s Eco-Tour of L.A.’s Eastside -- all designed by women architects -- have been featured in The Times’ Home section, so we feel pretty comfortable plugging this event.

The self-driven Eastside Eco-Tour (and, yes, that is a bit of an oxymoron) was organized by Farm Feliz to spotlight homes utilizing sustainable practices such as water conservation, energy efficiency, alternative energy generation and organic gardening. So take a break from Christmas shopping and swing by Barbara Bestor’s Los Feliz home, above, the Atwater Village home of Rebecca Rudolph and Colin Thompson, the Echo Park home of Jonathan Williams and Kim Pesenti, designed by architect Rachel Allen, or any of the seven others.

The homes will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. For a map, click here.

And did we mention it’s free?
