Thrift-minded collectors of Bauer Pottery are also in for a good weekend. The Atwater Village studio’s annual holiday sale of factory seconds starts today and continues next weekend. The wide variety of discounted items (see photo at right) includes their vintage-styled dinnerware, dogware, their famous oil jars, candlesticks, pitchers and other brightly colored designs with minor defects or uneven glazing. This year’s sale will feature something new: seconds from the Russel Wright American Modern line, which will be marked down as much as 60%. Today and Dec 12, the Kogi BBQ and Buttermilk food trucks will provide sustenance for flagging shoppers.

Can’t make it? A selection of Bauer seconds will be sold online Dec. 16 - Jan. 4, but those orders will be shipped after the holidays.
