Dec. 17: The Orange County chapter of the California Native Plant Society invite members and guests to share favorite photos of native plants, wildlife, habitats or gardens. Bring your best 10 photos on a flash drive, portable hard drive, CD or DVD, and plan on a presentation of no more than five minutes. Arrive early to allow for data transfer time. 7 p.m. Free. Dec. 17: Bruce Kidd will discuss controlling pests and disease at the San Gabriel Valley Orchid Hobbyists meeting. Dec. 19: The Homestead Museum celebrates the holidays with evening tours focusing on how the celebration of Christmas in Southern California changed from the 1840s through the 1920s.
