Oct. 22: Silvia Barisione, Wolfsoniana-Fondazione Regionale per La Cultura E Lo Spettacoco, Genoa, will discuss “Italian Futurist Design” and the movement’s influence in design and decorative arts. Oct. 24: Descanso Gardens’ annual Pumpkin Roundup will feature costume parades, face painting (noon to 2 p.m.), pony rides, a pumpkin decorating station and rides on the Enchanted Railroad ($3). 1418 Descanso Drive, La Cañada Flintridge. Oct. 24: The Fullerton Arboretum hosts ‘Eat the Yard,’ a new three-class edible gardening series on how to grow, harvest and prepare organic food. Oct. 24: Joe Clements, manager of the John R. Design House: Orange County and Los Angeles designers will be featured in Casa California, pictured above, a design house presented by California Homes Magazine and benefiting the Philharmonic Society of Orange County. Public tours 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays, through Nov. 8. Extended hours to 9 p.m. on Thursdays. $35.
