Pottery Barn and CB2 table toppers go beyond Halloween (at not-too-scary prices)

Not all Halloween decorations need to be ghoulish or garish, especially in these frightening economic times. Fortunately, these cheap-chic home decor accessories can be used for celebrations throughout the year. While not quite Edgar Allen Poe’s fabled Raven, the black crow candles have a eerie presence (especially as the wax melts) but also fit the bill as part of a fall harvest tablescape. They’re $10 each at Pottery Barn. Pair them with one of these quick-shot-of-glamour Noir vases, $21.95 each at CB2, which have a matte black iron finish with a polished nickel interior. Try filling them with black roses--if you must--for Halloween and chrysanthemums thereafter.
