Catch it before it’s gone: “Edith Heath: Tabletop Modernist” at the Pasadena Museum of California Art. Cynics may cringe at a museum exhibit with such strong commercial connections, but anyone who has visited Heath’s factory in Sausalito probably can appreciate the show. Each plate, bowl or teapot is a piece of California craft history. Yes, you can see the designs in Heath’s year-old L.A. store, but you’ll get more background and context at the museum. Hours are noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 to $7. Ride the Gold Line and walk, if you can.
