The Deal: Designer tag sale organizers promise deep discounts

Notable Los Angeles designers — several of whom have been profiled in The Times — will participate Saturday in the Designer Tag Sale organized by interior designer Vanessa De Vargas, entrepreneur Amy Swift and Vanessa Kogevinas, formerly an editor at Western Interiors and Design.

The organizers promise a ‘high-end garage sale’ where no item will be more than $200. Participating designers include Molly Luetkemeyer, Ron Woodson, Jamie Rummerfield, Lindsey Dann Miller, Paula Smail (whose cheerful textiles are pictured here), Jennifer Culp, Michelle Workman, Kelly Van Patter, Jonona Lambert and Stephanie Visser. They will be selling items from their personal inventories including side tables, lamps, rugs, pillows, art and accessories.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the backyard of 2500 Grandview Ave. in Venice.It also will include mini-consultations with designers. Admission is $10.
