The Deal: Loll modern outdoor furniture

August 31, 2009 |  6:00 am

Cabrio Made from 100% post-consumer high-density polyethylene (better known as HDPE, the plastic used in milk jugs, detergent bottles and margarine tubs) and shipped in recycled cardboard boxes, the Adirondack-style Cabrio lounge chair is a feel-good chair in more ways than one. Its manufacturer, Loll, plants a tree for every order it receives and donates 1% of its sales to green causes.

As if that weren't enough, Loll is offering 10% off its entire inventory -- chairs, benches, tables and more -- through September. Starting Sept. 1, all black pieces will be 25% off. And if you're looking for even bigger reductions on scratched merchandise and other "seconds," click here.

The kicker: Shipping -- which can be quite expensive on furniture -- is free through September too. The Cabrio, normally $319 plus shipping, now tallies to $287.10, including shipping and handling. The chair for “modern lollygaggers” sits low to the ground, has wide arms, comes in six colors and won't give you those painful Adirondack creases on your backside. Or is that just me?
