Like the iconic Eames plywood lounger and Noguchi coffee table, the Nelson bubble lamp is one midcentury classic that never goes out of style.

If you’ve always dreamed of owning one of the pendants, now’s a great time to purchase one at a terrific discount as Modernica holds a 50%-off-retail ‘open box’ sale from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 22.

More than 300 lamps, normally $225 to $405, will be available in a variety of shapes and styles. The only drawback: They may have been used once on a TV show or a movie set, but they are guaranteed to be in good condition.

Modernica’s warehouse is at 2118 E. 7th Place in downtown Los Angeles.
