2 Cool 4 Back 2 School, Part 4: For someone who remembers the boom box as cutting-edge sound system design, these iPod speaker docks rock the preciousness meter to a solid 11.
In my continuing look at products aimed for the college-bound (but amusing enough to sneak out of their duffels), I present:
The Vestalife Ladybug accepts a long list of devices including video-enabled iPods. Fold-out wings serve as speakers. It’s $92.70 at Amazon.
Compared to the lithe Ladybug, the iPig by Speakal is adorably chunky. It delivers 360-degree sound from five speakers, two of which are the little oinker’s anime-style eyes. The fashion-conscious black model (my choice) is a limited edition and $79.99 at Kmart.
