The $520 karma-enhancing cashmere baby blanket? Om my God!
While her mummy is at yoga and the nanny is on a nearby park bench tweeting, this little angel is dreaming of world peace, sprawled on a spread of Conscious Blankees. This latest can't-spoil-your-kids-enough nursery item comes from Conscious Cloth, a fashion line for upscale down-doggers. Made of not-exactly-spit-up-friendly cashmere with a silk border, the Blankee comes in 14 color combinations and three sizes, starting at $320 for a 16-inch square and $520 for just over 2 by 3 feet.
At the risk of messing up my own karma, I'm skeptical that, as Conscious Cloth's website proclaims, the product's hand-sewn "sacred mantra . . . raises the frequency and vibration of the blanket . . . surrounding your loved one with the vibration of love, beauty, protection and healing." Wouldn't a long, warm hug and a donation to a Tibetan orphanage set a better example?

Bernie Madoff should get one of these for his cell.
He can sleep like a baby and he can afford one or more blankets no problem.

Great karma for parents! Swaddle your little precious in $500 worth of blanket rather than feed, oh, 100 little starving dark children a decent meal. Rock on America!

If you want a good laugh, look at this website. Apparently these Karma enhancing items were designed by a woman who had taken the time to get to know herself. She maintains the highest consciousness "even at the most mundane level of her day to day life", like when she is depositing her profits from these ridiculous items. This website makes the stuff in the back of my Yoga magazine look like KMart.

Are there really people out there who fall for this? If so, they deserve to lose their money buying this junk. As for the claims made, they are utterly meaningless mumbo-jumbo. (I work in electronics and physics, I know more than a little about the terms 'frequency' and 'vibration' - and what is written about the blanket in those terms is pure nonsense intended to deceive the gullible).
As the writer says, forget this garbage rip-off product, and hug your kids. Better for them and for you. =)

Until the Chinese took over, Tibet didn't have orphans.

If I had the money, I'd buy one for my grandson...after all, isn't spoiling what us grandmas do best? LOL.

Sabrina - if you truly loved you grandchild no amount of money would stand in the way of providing this karma experience. Guess we know what kind of gramma you are.

Right On Kathy! Money or no money, it's another scam! You want your child to be "enlightened" spend time with them, hug them! I hate these "the latest trends," Really does the baby know he or she is sleeping on cashmere or a fleece throw! Make better use of your money people!!! Feed a hungry child bathe them in cashmere!

I didn't realize karma was so expensive nowadays.
