The media unit in this photo, part of the Home section’s May 30 cover story, prompted an inquiry from reader Stasia Sinik, who wondered where former ‘Design on a Dime’ host Kristan Cunningham purchased it. The piece is from Floor-Model’s North Hollywood warehouse, which is open by appointment. The firm has more Midcentury furnishings in its showroom at H.D. Buttercup in Los Angeles. Because of space constraints, writer Debra Prinzing’s reporting on the unit was trimmed from the print edition. So was Cunningham’s quote: ‘These pieces can be customized to fit a large space.’ Investments such as this, Cunningham says, help to make any DIY project look, well, less DIY.
