Nothing is quite so sad as the tears of an Ewok, but they won’t last long as Disney Parks’ Star Tours attraction in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., prepares to be rebuilt for 2011. Before that happens, though, the Last Tour of Endor “decommissioning party” on Aug. 14 will give fans a chance to see the old girl off and grab a seat on one of the StarSpeeder 3000’s final voyages.

The whole thing is a part of Star Wars Celebration V, held up the way from the tours in Orlando on Aug. 12-15. This year’s event commemorates the 30th Anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back, widely viewed as arguably (or not) the best film of the franchise.
