After the second McCain-Obama debate yesterday, I got to thinking about the long history of presidential comics. Here’s one of my faves: Hit Comics No. 44 from January 1947, where Kid Eternity (nice sash, Kid!) summons George Washington from the mists of time to brawl with a bad guy named The Shoe, who is essentially a bald gangster who goes around kicking people with his oversized oxfords. Seriously. Hey, you think I could make this stuff up on my own? Here’s today’s fanboy headlines...
